School Trip: Year 3 and 4 Visit the Natural History Museum

Year 3 and Year 4 had an unforgettable day out at the Natural History Museum in London last week. The trip tied in perfectly with our current topic on animals and habitats, giving children the chance to see incredible specimens and exhibitions up close.

Walking beneath the blue whale skeleton in the main hall left every child speechless. The dinosaur gallery was another highlight, with children spending a full hour exploring fossils, casts and interactive displays.

Our guide led a brilliant workshop on classification and biodiversity, and the children impressed her with their knowledge and their thoughtful questions. Several stayed completely engrossed in the specimens long after the session had officially ended.

Thank you to all the parent helpers who gave up their time to accompany us. We are already planning next year’s trip – watch this space!
